Claudio Varoli PiazzaWine Marketing & Communication
Fine Wine Consultant
Claudio is from Parma, the world-renowned city of music, ham and cheese, from a barolo-blooded Piedmont-origins family. He moved to Sardinia with his family as a child and got back to Parma to attend an IT scientific-oriented high school. Whilst still at high school he started working as IT consultant, then he studied Business and Managerial Economics (MBA) and worked as a Marketing & Communication professional ever since, eventually merging the two fields together to become a Digital Marketing and Communication expert. He’s been travelling and exploring different cultures all around Europe ever since he was a kid: later, as an older and… let’s say, wiser man, he’s been… travelling again for professional reasons, this time also developing his passion for the world of wine. He achieved his AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) Sommelier diploma in Piedmont in 2012. He got his WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level II Intermediate certification with merit in Florence in April 2013 and he’s looking forward to achieve WSET Level III Advanced certification. He is now a Communications and Digital Media postgraduate student at Auckland University of Technology.
Angela BoscoWine Tasting & Pairing Specialist
Fine Wine Consultant
Angela was born and raised in a family of Food & Beverage traditions from Gragnano (Naples), the city where you can find the best pasta of Italy. You can also find there the ultimate pizza, lemons, tomatoes, pastry delicacies and much more if you’d only ask her! She moved to Parma with her (big) family as a child, yet proudly spending every summer back in her birth town and vineyards, investigating through her grandma’s recipes. She is a graduate Social Worker, specialised in youth and children issues. Nevertheless, she has many years of experience in several different restaurants of Italy and a strong passion for wine. She achieved the AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) Certified Sommelier diploma in Piedmont in 2012 and turned Professional Sommelier in January 2013 as AIS got overwhelmed by her references (and grandma’s recipes). Furthermore, she got her WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level II Intermediate certification in Florence in April 2013. She’s already studying to achieve WSET Level III Advanced certification somewhere in Auckland whilst successfully keeping on experimenting with food and wine all day long.
